A minor girl was raped. The police have arrested a school librarian on this charge. The incident took place in Kakdwip area. The arrested person is named Shubhdeep Mandal. According to police and local sources, Shubhdeep allegedly called the girl to the school library in August and raped her. Since then, the girl did not want to go to school anymore. She was mentally broken. However, no one in the family could understand why the girl was mentally disturbed. Recently, when the annual exams started, the girl’s family members asked her to go to school. But the girl refused to go to school. After that, when she was asked again, she told the family everything. Finally, the girl’s family members took the girl to the doctor. She is currently undergoing treatment. In this regard, Kakdwip court lawyer Shankar Narayan Manna said that the girl was talented. The family members asked her when she refused to take the annual exams. That’s when the girl told the family everything. The librarian allegedly threatened the student, saying that if she told anyone about the incident, she would be killed. The accused even threatened the student that he had a video of the incident. If she told anyone, the video would go viral. Fearing that, the student had not told anyone about the incident until now. However, after learning about the incident, the student’s family filed a complaint with the police station. Based on that, the police arrested the accused from Baruipur on Friday. When the arrested person was produced before the Kakdwip Subdistrict Court on Saturday, the judge ordered five-day police custody.
