Indonesia’s Mount Ibu erupts, warning issued

Bangabarta Bureau: An eruption has occurred at Mount Ibu volcano on Indonesia’s Halmahera island. About 3,000 residents living near the volcano have been evacuated. The volcano on this remote island was first seen erupting on Wednesday. At that time, smoke was seen about four kilometers above.
Local authorities have issued a high alert in the surrounding area. 13,000 people live near the volcano. Of these, 3,000 residents have been evacuated. According to scientists, this volcano is still quite alive. Various volcanoes in Indonesia are still erupting continuously. Indonesia, located on the Pacific “Ring of Fire”, has 127 active volcanoes. There were several eruptions on Ibu last year. In May, local administrations were forced to evacuate residents of seven surrounding villages.
