REVISED METRO SERVICES BETWEEN HOWRAH MAIDAN AND ESPLANADE STATIONS ON GREEN LINE-2 FROM 23rd January.
After successful completion of the first trial run through the West-bound tunnel between Sealdah and Esplanade, Metro authorities have decided to restore the normal services on Green Line-2 through East-bound and West-bound tunnels in between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations for the benefit of the commuters from 23rd January. From that day 130 services will be run instead of 114 services on weekdays. Services will be available from the terminal stations i.e. Howrah Maidan and Esplanade from 07:00 hrs to 21:45 hrs.
During peak hours i.e. (from 09:00 hrs. to 11:00 hrs. and 17:00 hrs. to 20:00 hrs.) services will be available at 12 minutes interval and for the rest of the day i.e. during non-peak hours at 15 minutes interval in East-bound and West-bound tunnels.
First Service –
From Howrah Maidan to Esplanade at 07:00 hrs.
From Esplanade to Howrah Maidan at 07:00 hrs.
Last Service –
From Howrah Maidan to Esplanade at 21:45 hrs.
From Esplanade to Howrah Maidan at 21:45 hrs.
From tomorrow, no service will originate and terminate from at Mahakaran station. All services will originate and terminate from at Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations.
On Sundays, 62 services will be available instead of 46 services on Green Line-2 from Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations from 14:15 hrs to 21:45 hrs. at 15 minutes interval.
