New WhatsApp group for Trinamool MLAs on the instructions of the Chief Minister to maintain party discipline

Within 48 hours of the Chief Minister’s order, a WhatsApp group was created with the state’s MLAs. 225 Trinamool MLAs have been placed in this WhatsApp group named ‘West Bengal Trinamool Congress Legislative Members’. Minister Arup Biswas has been made the admin of the group. However, along with Arup Biswas, Firhad Hakim and Shobhan Chatterjee will be responsible for managing the group. From now on, all the complaints, anger, sorrow and pride of the MLAs will have to be conveyed to this group. It is reported that if Mamata Banerjee wants to convey anything to the MLAs, she will also convey it in this group. It is learnt that this WhatsApp group has been created as the first step to maintain party discipline. Because two days ago, the Trinamool supremo had said that no one can open their mouths about any internal matter of the party to any investigative agency. At the meeting of the council party in the assembly on Monday, Mamata Banerjee said, “Do not make any comments in public that will make the party uncomfortable. If any of the MLAs has something to say, they will say it there. I will go after finding out for sure. If I have something to say, it will be said there. Today someone is a minister, tomorrow an MLA. Don’t think about that. Do the work of the people.” She also said in strict language at today’s meeting, “Do the work of the people, everyone has to follow the discipline. If they don’t follow that, strict action will be taken. And a complaint will be made.”
