In a move aimed at enhancing educational opportunities, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the state government will provide free textbooks to all students from classes 1 to 12.
In a statement, CM Dhami said that making better education available to students is one of the top priorities of his government. “To achieve this, free textbooks are being provided to all students from classes 1 to 12 so that every child gets an opportunity for quality education without any hindrance,” he said.
The initiative is part of the state’s broader effort to ensure equitable access to education for all children, regardless of their financial background. The free distribution of textbooks is expected to ease the financial burden on parents and encourage more children to enroll and stay in school.
