Bangobarta Bureau, LUCKNOW

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared that the state has shed its “BIMARU” status and is now a significant growth engine for India’s economy.

In a recent statement, the Chief Minister said, “Uttar Pradesh is no longer a ‘BIMARU’ state but has become a growth engine of development, strengthening India.”

The term ‘BIMARU,’ an acronym for Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, was used in the past to denote states with poor economic and social indicators. CM Adityanath’s remarks highlight his government’s focus on rapid development, infrastructure projects, and investment attraction to transform the state’s economy. He stated that Uttar Pradesh is now playing a crucial role in contributing to the nation’s progress, attracting major investments, and creating a business-friendly environment, thereby becoming a key driver of India’s overall economic growth.
