Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the flood-affected areas of Punjab on Saturday to take stock of the situation and review the ongoing relief and rescue operations.
Shah, who was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and other senior officials, conducted an aerial survey of the worst-hit regions. During his visit, he interacted with the flood victims and assured them of all possible support from the central government.
The Home Minister announced a relief package for the state and promised to dispatch additional teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to assist with the ongoing efforts. Shah’s visit underscores the central government’s commitment to providing assistance to states facing natural calamities and coordinating relief operations.
