Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of resorting to “tricks” whenever he faces a potential electoral defeat.
In a recent statement, Yadav said, “Whenever Narendra Modi starts to lose an election, he starts playing some kind of political trick.” He further stated that PM Modi “wants to deceive the people of Bihar,” but he warned that “this is Bihar—here, people grind the lime (chuna) with their tobacco,” a local idiom suggesting they are not easily fooled.
While extending a welcome to PM Modi in Bihar, Yadav added a stern condition, “He will have to give an account of the past 11 years.” Yadav’s comments are a direct challenge to the Prime Minister’s development narrative and signal the start of a heated political campaign in the state.
