Ukrainian first responders are currently clearing the rubble of a residential building in Kyiv after a massive Russian strike. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the attack, which he stated was part of “another massive attack against our cities and communities.”

According to Zelenskyy’s statement, at least eight people, including a child, have been confirmed dead. Dozens are wounded, and people are feared to be trapped under the debris. The President offered his condolences to the families of the victims.

Zelenskyy condemned the strike as a direct response to those who have called for a ceasefire and diplomacy. He stated, “Russia chooses ballistics instead of the negotiating table. It chooses to continue killing instead of ending the war.” He added that Russia’s continued aggression indicates it “still does not fear the consequences” and takes advantage of a world that “turns a blind eye to murdered children and seeks excuses for Putin.”
