Russian and Chinese submarines have commenced their first-ever joint patrol in the Asia-Pacific, marking a new level of military coordination between the two countries.
The patrol began in the Sea of Japan following a joint naval exercise conducted earlier in August. The joint mission is seen as a further deepening of military ties between Moscow and Beijing, extending their cooperation to a critical maritime domain.
