Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that India is currently witnessing a battle between two opposing ideologies — one represented by Mahatma Gandhi and the other by Nathuram Godse, the man who assassinated him.
“Mahatma Gandhi dedicated his life to this nation and its Constitution,” Rahul Gandhi said at a public gathering. “Godse, on the other hand, was against the Constitution. He hated it — and that’s why he shot and killed Gandhi Ji.”
He added that the struggle between these two worldviews continues to shape the future of India. “This is not just a political fight — it is a battle for the soul of the nation,” Gandhi said.
