Prime Minister Narendra Modi today outlined India’s rise as a hub for clean mobility, emphasizing that the nation’s unique combination of democratic strength, demographic advantage, and a vast skilled workforce makes it an ideal partner for the global community.

Speaking at a program to launch a series of green mobility initiatives, the Prime Minister highlighted that India’s pro-business environment creates a “win-win situation” for international investors. He specifically lauded Maruti Suzuki for its pioneering role in this journey, describing the company as a “Make in India ambassador.”

In a significant announcement, the Prime Minister stated that India is now poised to become a major exporter of electric vehicles (EVs). He flagged off Suzuki’s first global strategic Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the “e VITARA,” which will be exported from India to more than a hundred countries, including advanced markets like Europe and Japan. This move, he said, reinforces India’s growing capability and commitment to a sustainable, clean future for the world.
