Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while interacting with National Awardee Teachers, celebrated the recent GST reforms as a “double dose of happiness.” The new, simpler rates of 5% and 18%, set to take effect from Navratri, are designed to make a wide range of goods more affordable.
According to the Prime Minister, the revised tax structure will lower the cost of everyday essentials, vehicles, and various daily items. This, he explained, will help ease household budgets and provide a significant boost to families, youth, farmers, and women across the nation. The reforms underscore the government’s commitment to simplifying the tax system and providing tangible economic relief to the public.
