IRAN , Bangobarta Bureau,
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has issued a stern message to the United States, stating that any expectation of Iranian obedience is a “profound insult to the Iranian people.” In a hard-hitting speech, Khamenei firmly rejected the possibility of direct talks with Washington.
“They want Iran to obey America… This is a profound insult to the Iranian people,” Khamenei stated in a message that was widely reported by Iranian media. His remarks underscore the deep-seated mistrust and animosity between the two nations.
Khamenei also stressed that direct negotiations with the United States are not a simple matter. “Direct talks with America are not that easy,” he said, suggesting that such a move would require significant concessions from the U.S. and would likely be viewed as a sign of weakness.
The Supreme Leader vowed that anyone who expects obedience from Tehran will be met with “the full resistance of the Iranian people.” The statement is a clear signal that Iran has no intention of bowing to U.S. pressure and will continue to pursue its own path, regardless of sanctions or threats.
