Modi emphasises India’s SCO policy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, outlined India’s policy toward the bloc, stating it is based on three pillars: Security, Connectivity, and Opportunity.

Speaking at the plenary session, the Prime Minister emphasized that SCO’s primary goal should be to ensure regional security and stability. He also called for enhancing connectivity to boost economic cooperation and create opportunities for all member nations.

PM Modi further stressed that it is a collective responsibility to oppose all forms of terrorism, calling it a duty towards humanity. His strong words on counter-terrorism were seen as a call for a unified and uncompromising approach to combating extremism and radicalism within the region. The Prime Minister’s remarks underscore India’s commitment to a peaceful and prosperous neighborhood.
