Bangobarta Bureau , LUCKNOW – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has claimed that his state was not inherently underdeveloped but was made so by “dishonest political parties.” The Chief Minister’s strong remarks were made during a recent public address, where he attributed the state’s past economic and social stagnation to previous governments.
“Uttar Pradesh was not made a BIMARU state by God or nature,” CM Adityanath stated. “It was dishonest political parties that made Uttar Pradesh a BIMARU state.” The term “BIMARU” is an acronym for Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, used to describe the historically poor economic conditions of these states.
The Chief Minister’s comments underscore his government’s narrative of development and good governance, contrasting it with what he perceives as a legacy of corruption and misrule. He highlighted his government’s focus on infrastructure development, law and order, and social welfare schemes to transform the state and shed its negative image. The statement reflects a strategic political message aimed at consolidating public support by presenting the current administration as a force for positive change.
