After the counting of votes, it was seen that he got only 20 votes. Chandan had the last laugh by defeating him by 25 votes. The outgoing committee treasurer, Zahar Das, and Kalyan Chattopadhyay contested for the post of secretary. Zahar defeated Kalyan by a margin of 41-26 votes. Kamal Maitra was elected unopposed for the post of treasurer. 68 representatives of 36 associations voted for 14 posts today. Voting began at 11:30 am today. The results started coming out at 3 pm.
