BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of taking a cue from Rahul Gandhi and his party’s “indecent and undignified” language towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to the press, Bhatia alleged that Banerjee is now furthering the “school of anarchy and indecency” in Bengal that was started by the Congress leader.
“The way Rahul Gandhi started using uncivilized and undignified language and made his party leaders use foul language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother… now Mamata Banerjee is taking this school of anarchy and indecency forward in Bengal,” Bhatia said.
He concluded by saying that the entire country, including West Bengal, is witnessing this behavior and is “ashamed.”
Bhatia’s comments mark a continuation of the BJP’s direct attack on both the Congress and the Trinamool Congress, linking the two opposition parties in their criticism of the Prime Minister. The Trinamool Congress has yet to issue an official response.
