Bangobarta Bureau, DEHRADUN:
The Alaknanda River, which flows along the Badrinath-Kedarnath route in Uttarakhand, has taken on a formidable form, with its swollen waters now reaching the highway. The river is in a spate due to incessant rain, posing a significant risk to travelers.
Near Dhari Devi, the river’s water has overflowed its banks, and is now flowing directly onto the highway. Despite the dangerous conditions, bus drivers are reportedly taking the risk of crossing the flooded stretch. Authorities have issued warnings, urging extreme caution for all vehicles on the route and advising against non-essential travel until the water levels recede.
